ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Participants are responsible for booking their own flights. We suggest contacting Gary of International Travel (301 294 0222). Arrange to arrive in Montego Bay Airport on Tuesday, March 15th. A free shuttle service has been arranged by Destination Jamaica and will transport participants to Discovery Bay. The event will conclude on Saturday evening, March 19th and a shuttle will return guests to Montego Bay Airport on Sunday, March 20th. Details on the shuttle scheduling are forthcoming.
DAY EXCURSIONS
Destination Jamaica will provide several opportunities to experience and enjoy all that Jamaica has to offer. Transportation will be provided while entrance fees, equipment rental, and other costs incurred will be the responsibility of the participants. Indulge your senses as you sample the diverse offerings of Caribbean cuisine and explore the tropical beauty of the island’s many attractions, such as:
Dunn’s River Falls – is one of Jamaica’s national treasures. There are few places where the Arawak name “Xayamaca,” land of rivers and springs, is more appropriate. Interspersed with giant waterfalls and lagoons, it is truly one of the most beautiful spots on the island. Explore on your own, hike with a guide, or relax in the shade to the sound of falling water.
Dolpin Cove & Ocho Rios – Swim with dolphins, interact with sharks, captain your own mini-boat or go glass-bottom kayaking on the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy a splash in the turquoise waters or relax on the pearly white beach. Imagine an idyllic tropical retreat, set against the backdrop of Jamaica’s picturesque North Coast. The nearby villa of Ocho Rios is renowned as one of the best scuba diving sites along Jamaica’s coast. It features a coral reef, called the Rio Nuevo Wall, that supports barracudas, turtles, parrotfish, and other tropical marine life in its mountainous coral formations.
The Green Grotto Caves – are said to have been a haven for runaway slaves in the 18th century. The caves are characterized by coastal limestone and are easily accessible. They feature a series of interconnected passageways and chambers, light holes, stalactites, stalagmites and a stunning underground lake.
Bob Marley Center & Mausoleum - Birthplace and final resting place of world-famous Jamaican reggae legend, Bob Marley. Visit the humble beginnings of this superstar in the hills of St. Ann. On your visit, chances are you will cross paths with Marley’s mother, Cedella Booker, or some of his friends from youth who still frequent the area.

Learn the keys to unlocking your full potential in our mind and body seminars tailored for capoeiristas. Start your day with a yoga session, learn how an improved diet will optimize your training in our nutrition seminar, or improve your power, balance, and coordination with strength training classes.
CAPOEIRA ACROBATICS
Still trying to land your folha seca? Get expert advice on acrobatic movements, share and exchange moves with your peers, or show off what you got at the Jump Around.
MASTERS’ SEMINARS
Small groups will work intimately with world renowned Mestres to explore a topic or skill set of the Mestre’s choosing. Topics could include musicianship, history and philosophy of capoeira, advanced tactics and strategy, or instrument building workshops where you can construct your own berimbau and caxixi. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn directly from some of the capoeira world’s greatest practitioners.
DINNER AND EVENING ENTERTAINMENT
Each evening’s workshop will be followed by dinner and live entertainment (aka party time!)
